Tarte Gratin
An attractive and tasty accompaniment.
Ingredients
Makes 20:
- 1.4 kg Gratin Rolls (2 rolls)
- 5 large red onions
- Caster sugar
- Thyme (dried)
- Vegetable stock (concentrated)
Preparation
- Pre-heat the oven to 200 °C.
- Chop the onions into slices approx. 0.5 cm thick.
- Mix the caster sugar, thyme and concentrated vegetable stock to taste.
- Place the mixture in the baking dish and press the onion slices into it.
- Cut the Gratin Rolls into servings to fit the baking dish. Arrange the rolls on the onions and press down firmly.
- Place the dish in the oven for 20 minutes.
- Quickly turn the tarte gratin out onto a flat surface.
